Sustainable Wedding Inspiration – Prepare to be wowed by colour in this vibrant, festival-inspired wedding shoot at Higher Holcombe in Devon. I love the sustainable ethos of this venue! Built on old pasture land, Higher Holcombe have planted thousands of trees and created a really beautiful outdoor event space. They have a fabulous rewilding program in place and are passionate about their natural environment and eco-friendly weddings, supporting couples to reduce, reuse and recycle and essentially avoid as much wedding wastage as possible. A business ethos very like my own!

So many unique elements came together on the day, the gorgeous VW Little Red Bus bringing the fun with it’s photo booth and very own glitter bar in the boot! The silver birch woodland at the venue provides a natural wedding aisle for the ceremony and the canopy of trees create the perfect shady spot for the brightest and boldest alfresco table set up! I was totally wowed and inspired by the gorgeous flowers – flowers crowns, hanging garlands, floral arches, natural confetti – this shoot had it all.

It was a joy to reflect the florals in the stationery. I used a previous invitation range ‘Fiesta’ as the starting point and then switched up some of the flowers, making them even bigger and more bountiful. I also replaced the original calligraphy font with a fun, handwritten alternative to reflect the relaxed festival vibe. It had to be seed paper for this shoot! With a mix of bright, bold envelopes and a palette that packed a punch.
